Fiji was host to the annual BFTE Tourism Meetings, which were held at a resort about 20 minutes from Crusoe's.

We were very fortunate to have 26 lovely people from 20 different wholesale travel companies take the time to visit us at Crusoe's. To all these great people, we wish to send our thanks for taking the time to visit us and to experience for yourselves, albeit for a brief moment, the Crusoe's experience.

We were so lucky to have Andrew & Cherie visiting us at Crusoe's Retreat. They traveled all the way from the USA and planned on getting married on our sandy beach. However, due to other circumstances (particularly, their families REALLY wanted them to get married at home so they could attend), they had to cancel their wedding plans with us. Their trip to Fiji, however, was still a GO!

Andrew and Cherie stayed with us for a week and really enjoyed their stay. While they were disappointed that they could not get married here, they most certainly got the most out of their stay at Crusoe's.

Toni, one of our new Managers, had a great idea: let's surprise them with a "Non-Wedding". So, on their last day with us, we surprised them with a wedding ceremony at Crusoe's Retreat (don't worry family - it was just a ceremony, nothing legal!). We had several staff members dress Andrew & Cherie for their wedding in colorful sulus. We decorated the beach area, and we brought in some 'witnesses'. We gave them an Unofficial Wedding, complete with Cake and Champagne.

Andrew & Cherie - Thanks for coming to Crusoe's Retreat for your Non-Wedding. It was so nice to meet you and we hope to see you again very soon!

We are often asked, when exactly is the BEST time to visit Crusoe's Retreat? Our normal answer is, "Today!". Honestly, there is no bad time to visit Crusoe's. Our busy season is from June to October. The weather is usually great, with warm tropical days, and cooler tropical nights. May and November are perfect 'shoulder' season months - the weather is awesome, and the resort is usually not as busy. December to April brings beautiful hot weather, warm ocean waters, great snorkeling opportunities and more, all without the crowds.
So, when is the best time for you to visit Crusoe's Retreat? Now that is up to you. Just know that whenever you decide to visit, you will have a truly relaxing, truly refreshing, and truly Fijian getaway.

OK. You have just enjoyed another amazing morning at Crusoe's Retreat. The ocean temperature was perfect, and the visibility for your snorkeling was some of the best you have ever witnessed. That kayak trip towards the reef break was a bit farther than it looked from shore, but at least it was a great workout. The stroll along the sandy beach was relaxing and wonderful - especially when you passed our friendly neighbouring village and saw all the kids playing in the water.
Its amazing how enjoying a tropical holiday can make you so hungry! Lunch time!
So, what can you enjoy for lunch at Crusoe's Retreat? How about an order of Thai fish cakes? Or perhaps a beautiful Seafood Pizza? Other guests have been raving about the fresh fish and chips, but that burger looks awefully tempting. Ah, don't stress over it. You are here for several days - you have time to try them all!

Kayaking at Crusoe's Retreat

Kayaking at Crusoe's Retreat is great fun! With all new kayaks, you can grab either a single or double kayak and explore. Paddle to the south, and travel by our neighboring village and some beautiful deserted beaches. Paddle to the north and visit a beautiful cove, and even a mangrove estuary.
The water is so crystal clear, that you can even see the fish and coral from your kayak.
Looking for a unique adventure? Grab some snorkel gear, and kayak out to find your own beautiful pristine snorkel spots. When you are ready, put on your mask, snorkel and fins, and jump in! With the kayak in front of you, grab onto it and 'push' it while using your fins.
Kayaking is just one of the many FREE resort activities available at Crusoe's Retreat.

Romance at Crusoe's Retreat

Wow! What a Romantic week at Crusoe's Retreat.
On Monday afternoon, Steven & Annette from Byford Western Australia got married on the beach, surrounded by some friends and family. It was a beautiful ceremony.
On Tuesday afternoon, Richard & Jane from England enjoyed a lovely wedding ceremony, with their toes in the sand.
And we experienced a first at Crusoe's Retreat! On Monday morning, Toby & Victoria, from Hatfield England, got engaged while sitting on our two-person kayak in the middle of the lagoon. In their rush to travel to Fiji, Toby forgot to pack the engagement ring. No worries! We had our local weaver create his and hers engagement rings.
Congratulations to all of our happy couples!
